Resident Permit Holder for China, lost passport - where to replace visa?

guest19841 So, I am American. I was traveling last weekend and lost my passport. I had a completely legal residence permit. I am still in Asia, but I need somewhere that will issue me a travel visa for China as an American citizen. Tried Seoul, but they won't do it anymore. Any ideas?

GUEST40882 So you have to first get a new passport. Then you need to apply for a visa for China and apply for the residence permit after you arrive. Did the Seoul Consulate tell me why they didn't issue you the visa?
