Minimum amount of time to leave between trains

I'm catching a train from Yangshuo to Liuzhou then from Liuzhou to Kunming. My dilemma is that I only have about 18 mins between trains. Is it matter of just going from one platform to another as they are both high speed trains or will I have to wait in queues to have luggage checked or other. How much time should I allow between trains from the same station.

GUEST04154 In principle, you need to get out of the station and have luggage checked again, however, you can tell your situation to the staff at the station after getting off the first train so that they can allow you to board on the second train directly. In this case, 18 minutes are enough for you. However, if the first train arrives late, you may not be able to catch the second train.
