Switching a Work Visa to a Tourist Visa

guest78649	Hey everyone, I am currently living and working in China with a Z visa and a residence permit. It expires at the end of June, and I want to apply for an L visa so I can travel around China for about 30 days afterwards before returning to America. Does anyone know if I can do that in my city, or do I have to leave China and go to Hong Kong for this? Will I have to leave between the expiration of the residence permit and the start of the L visa, or can I just stay as one expires and (hopefully) one begins? I'm feeling a little lost...
