Hey!

I'm flying to Australia from Tel Aviv (Israel), on my way I am passing through China - both directions.

My flight in each direction is built out of 3 flights;

Departure area - China - a flight within china to another airport - Destination.

In each direction, i'll be changing terminals atleast once. - lets say, from Tel Aviv to Beijing , so I land in Beijing terminal 2 - My next flight is from Beijing to Xian , but its departing from Terminal 1 - and landing in Terminal 2 , then my next flight departs from Xian , terminal 3 , just to land in Melbourne.

My question is - do I need a visa or am I free to pass?...again, I will not be staying for more than 24 hours each time - I called the embassy and they told me they 'THINK I DON'T NEED A VISA' - helpful :P...

Quick answers highly appreciated ^_^

GUEST04154 Skowl, you qualify for the 24-hour direct transit on both directions, so the visa is not required.

Hey!
Thank you for the reply.

I was just told that once I land in China for the first time in each direction, I'll need to pick up and check in my luggage again.

Is that doable with 24 hour transit visa :/?

Well, it depends on the airlines. You need to contact them for this question.

GUEST40882 Yes, you qualify for the 144-hour free transit as long as you have no stopover in any other Chinese cities outside Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces.
