Converting from one residence permit / visa to another ( Q1 > X1)

guestC	Hi there, I am currently living in China on a Q1 (family) visa with residence permit, with my Chinese Husband. Next year I want to enrol in University to do a Degree, so will need to apply for an X1 (study) visa. Is it possible to convert my Q1 visa into an X1 visa within china? If not, would it be possible to apply for a X1 visa in Hong Kong? Trying to avoid flying back to the UK just to change over visa types! Thanks very much.
