Which visa (do I need one?) for Berlin->Auckland including domestic flight in China?

I have searched a lot now but still I am not sure if and if which visa I need.
I have a flight from Berlin Germany to Auckland New Zealand.
The stops are Berlin->Moscow->Bejing->Chengdu->Auckland.
Since I have a domestic flight in China, the 72hour-transit regulations do not apply in my opinion.

Which visa do I need? Is the normal single entry visa correct? I can just get this at the Chinese embassy, correct?

GUEST52253 Dear, if the total time you will spend in Chengdu and Beijing is over 24 hours, you need a transit visa. If not, you do not need the visa.

In case you need a transit visa, you can only apply for it from the Chinese embassy.
