How to get from Zhangjiajie to Chongqing?

Hi, I have a question. How to get from Zhangjiajie to Chongqing, by bus or train? How many hours will the trip take? Can I book the tickets online? Where and how? Thank you.

GUEST05263 There is only one direct daily bus from Zhangjiajie to Chongqing, which is scheduled to depart at 10:45 am. It takes about 10 hours for the trip, and you need to spend CNY 222.

Currently no direct trains are available between the two cities, but you can take a train from Zhangjiajie to Huaihua, which takes about 3.5 hours and costs CNY 37.5 for a hard seat. Upon arrival, you can take bus 12, 30, or 116 to Huaihua
South Station and then take a high speed train to Chongqing. It takes about 4.5 hours for high speed train trip and a second class seat costs CNY 295.

Comparatively, bus is a better choice, but it's as comfortable as trains. Besides, you have limited choices if travelling by train.

GUESTL You can take an evening China Southern flight trought Changsha then a connecting Air China flight to reach Zhangjiajie
