guest51939	We are a mid-aged active couple from Germany looking for companions in May (concrete dates still flexible) for: Privately organised journey (ca. 3-4 weeks) along the silk road in the Xinjiang district. Components will be a 7-day trekking in the Taklamakan desert with camels, a 5-day trekking (no strenuous rock-climbing/mountaineering) with packhorses to the basecamp (ca. 4.500m) of the 7.500m Muztagh Ata mountain, visiting old oasis towns along the silkroad, staying with Uigur Yak herders etc. Our companions should bring along: teamspirit, physical and mental fitness, open-mindedness and the ability and will to abstain from wellness, luxury and crowds of people for several weeks. Rucksacks will mostly be carried by camels/horses, but expect daily hiking distances of 15-20 km. We will mostly sleep in tents (you can bring your own or rent one there). Our travel guide will be a local and experienced Uigur and speaks German (English no problem) fluently. Costs including one international and one local fllight as well as two train rides should be around 3.500€. We take care to keep prices low and the group small (max. group size ca. ten people).
