Is it good to exchange USD for Yuans at the airport or they give bad rate? A friend told me that is not good to exchange money in big banks because they charge a high fee true or false? Better going into small exchange little stores and how could I know they are not giving me fake money? Do they accept USD at stores in China also?

you will have chance to get the fake money in the small shops.
but the rate is better than bank.
