Hi!

I was wondering about going from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. Can you please tell me how much does it cost to go to Hong Kong by train and how long does it take? Also, do you know how often the trains leave to Hong Kong?

Thanks already!

Thanks!

Is it easy to go to the train station from the airport? Does for example the coach bus stop there?

How can I purchase tickets? Can I just go to the station and buy them from there?

Thank you already again! :)

Yes, it's pretty easy to get to the train station from the airport, taxi or bus are convenient.

If you do not have friend to purchase the train ticket for you in advance, you can buy at the station, since the trains running frequently, you can easily catch one. If you speak a few CHinese or go to the train station with a Chinese will be quite helpful. Train station is not like the airport always with detailed signs both in Chinese and English.

Hi again!

What is the name of the train station where the trains leave to Hong Kong?

Do you happen to know if the trains arrive in Kowloon Hung Hom Station in Hong Kong?

Thanks again! :)

Hi Saara,

There are 2 train stations in Guanzhou. If you go to Hong Kong. You have to get the train in the East of Guangzhou station.

There is a train from east of Guangzhou sation directly to Hunghom, Kowloon.

It depends on you. If you travel during public holidays or have arranged your trip to HK, you'd better buy it in advance. Otherwise, you may not buy the ticket successfully. Some people say they can buy the tickets on the same day when they leave.

If you have scheduled your trip in HK, I suggest you buy it in advance. Then you won't be worried that your HK trip might be ruined if you don't get the tickets.
