Context: I am a British Citizen, currently in Beijing on an X2, single-entry Visa and have my return flight to the UK booked for 30th June this year. I am planning to go to Bali for a week next week (i.e. roughly 19-28 June). The return flight I would book arrives well within the 72hrs (although I'm sure Beijing now has 144hrs). My understanding is that I would be eligible for the visa-free transit, and my X2 visa is irrelevant. One other factor worth noting is that my flights are booked independently of one another and with completely different airlines. Is that an issue? I read a thread and it has concerned me.
