Some tips of Trains' number in China.

You may find most of Trains' Number are led by a capital letter while you travel within China by rail. And what is the story behind the Trains No.?:)
T is the first letter of Te Kuai(express) in CHinese. WE also have Z as in Zhida(non-stop),L as in Linshi(temperary),K as in Kuai(fast train) and some without capital letters which are normal train. From the Numbers follow, you can tell the direction of the trains.say even number-the trains point to Beijing. odd number-opposite.
Btw,I think train is the cheapest way.

I checked from a few websites and got a lot of trains' codes with initial letter of "N", and they are not only running within specific province, so I think "N" stands for trains operating within the specific railway bureau.

Yes, tran code with letter of N means the train runs within the precinct of one Railway Bureau.

At present there are altogether 18 Railway Bureaus in China.
