Overstayed without realizing but got documents from school

Hello guys,
I am in a weird situation, I overstayed for 7 days without realizing and now I got my documents from the school today for student visa. But as I was ready to go to PSB for renewal, I opened my passport and saw that I miscalculated and it is expired. What should I do? Will I be detained or will they let me pay the fines and then start my procedure for student visa? Please help.
