China visa renewal - passport expiry date

I’m working in China. My company will renew my passport after 3 months. But by that time I will only have 1 year and 1 month before my passport expires. I guess it will be ok but perhaps there is some rule that there needs to have something like 18 months on or something. I can’t seem to find info on this one question. Does anyone know?

GUEST40882 I haven't heard about anything like 18 months left on the passport. But indeed in some cases you need to have 6-month validity being left on your passport.

Your passport should have at least six months of validity left when you apply for a Chinese work permit or visa1. So, having 1 year and 1 month remaining should be fine.
