guest23179 I’m a uk citizen, flying from London to Shanghai landing on 21/03/2025 I’ll then be heading to Seoul and Osaka before flying back to Shanghai on 31/03/2025 then flying from Shanghai to London on 01/04/2025. Will I be eligible for the 10 day visa as technically it would be 11 days, if not what are my options. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

GUESTDAVE Yes, you can take advantage of the 10-day or 24-hour visa-free transit, twice technically.

The first: London - Shanghai - Seoul
The second: Osaka - Shanghai - London

If your stay in Shanghai is les than 24 hours, you will be granted a 24-hour visa-free transit. During this time, if you want to go out of the airport for some city exploration, just go to the immigration counter to get a temporary entry permit.

If your stay is longer than 24 hours, go to the counter to get a 240-hour visa-free transit permit to leave the airport.

GUEST22183 Hi.

I’m looking to fly from the UK to Hong Kong (1 day) then travel via train to Guangzhou (3 days) return to Hong Kong (2 days) and then return to the UK.

Would this qualify for visa free travel?

I feel sorry that your route is not eligible for 240-hour visa-free transit because the immediate stops before and after China mainland are both Hong Kong. See more details here: www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm
