Traveling from HK to Kunming

What would you recommend? I'am planing to travel from HK to macao, to guangzhou, wuzhou, guilin and finally to kunming and Pingbian and fly back from kunming to HK. what are the beste traveling methods? would it be wise to rent a car with driver, what are the costs for this? Anyone knows the cost of a translator? Time of stay will be 3 weeks, can it be done in this time?

Maybe you can try to take train to travel around China. I traveled solo and I enjoyed my trip on bus and train with local people. In Guangzhou, you can find lots of buses to where you'd like to. There are buses from Guangzhou to Wuzhou and Guilin. And from Guilin, you can take train to Kunming(about 20 hours).
