I am going for a conference in Kunming next September 2005 (from 5 to 9) but the cheapest flight I got goes direct to Guangzhou. I am trying to find either a cheap flight (hopefully less than 250 USD) or train or bus from Guangzhou to Kunming. Unfortunately I can not find this kind of information by internet. Could any of you have any suggestion about it? Also, how safe do you consider is to travel alone (as a female) by train or bus without knowing the lenguaje? Any suggestions you can share with me is going to be very appreciate. I really need ideas how to reach Kunming from Guangzhou in a cheap and safe trip. Thank you in advance!

RITA Points: Join Date: May 10, 2005 Status: Offline	The flight ticket from Guangzhou to Kunming IS less than USD250, actually, it is CNY1260 + fuel surcharge CNY90 equals about USD166. You'd better not take bus, taking soft sleeper train is fine and safe, very safe.
