Three very good outdoor places to visit from nanning. The Detian falls is practically a whole day because the buses will take 3-4 hours to drive there one-way. The scenery along the way is interesting once you get past daxian there are many karst mountains similar to guillin and rice fields along the way. On the way i spotted a billboard with monkeys on them turns out nearby is Longhu mountain is home to monkeys that are at ease with humans. This is an easy 1/2 - 3/4 daytrip. The next place i visited was the yiling cave this place does not get the same fanfare as the reed flute cave in guillin, but the cave tour was quite extensive and the formations similar in beauty to reed flute
