I was there yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. No long queues, no crowds, and it's a beautiful green area indeed. Highly recommended.
About the buses, well, one most important thing is to have exact change in your pocket when you're getting aboard the bus because the bus drivers don't give change. You have to put the exact amount in a box when you get aboard. May be most tourists know this fact but I didn't.
I missed the Hairou North Street stop on the 916 Express and walked back a couple of stops. Instead of minivans, I found cars and as Cindy said, it's a much better option because I just had to pay CNY 15 and the fast driver took me there in 20 minutes or so.
