if you want to see the blue sky,the snow mountain ,the sunshine lijiang, the best time to come should be in November,December,Janurary,February and March. During these months,it is may be a bit cold in the morning and the evening, but you can enjoy nice weather every day. In daytime , you just stay in the Naxi guest house to enjoythe sunshine. What is more important, this is the slow season for lijiang, you can avoid the tourist crowd and see the quiet old town. And youcan also have nic e weather in some other part of yunnan

Moon Inn

Can highly recommend the Moon Inn. It's in a quiet location, the rooms are very clean and, best of all, you are extremely well looked after. Very friendly staff, who can't do enough for you. Free laundry, afternoon tea, help with bookings, etc. Hope to visit again one day.

Mama Naxi's in Lijiang
By WINDENERGY | 4/5/2007 6:50:47 AM

Mama Naxi'sguesthouse in Lijiang offers the traveler a very inexpensive bed,as well as serving both breakfast and dinner. A dormitory bed is only 15 rmb/night and dinner is just 10 rmb for all you can eat. I was also given assistance on places to see and were to buy a cheap return bus ticket to Kunming. You can call Mama Naxi if you are wandering lost in Lijiang @ 8881012.

Must Visit English Bar and Restaurant
By RMOKRISKI | 7/21/2006 6:58:35 AM

Frosty Morning is a must visit for a quick check back in with the West. The proprieters of this English pub could not be any friendlier. The Bar features Wester DVDs (The Sopranos is Philip's favorite), a great pool table (don't play with Hsiaoping, she is a pool shark), and, quite simply, the cleanest bathroom I encountered in China. The Satellite sports cap off a wonderful night.

Li Jiang - best traditional guesthouse!
By KATERINABALLERINA | 11/1/2005 4:39:49 AM

My friend and I have just spent three days in the most beautiful guesthouse and wanted to recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Li Jiang...

It is called Moon Inn and is right in the centre of the old town. Having opened only a couple of mnths ago everything is brand new, immaculately clean. Run by local Naxi Chinese family, it is as close to living with a family as you can get. About 10 double and twin rooms all with en suite bathroom (and Western toilet) The food is delicious and home-cooked and the service is second to none. On our first day we found a bowl of fruit and flowers in our room and breakfast far surpassed anything we had eaten over the past few weeks in hotels...

The owner's daughter is called Li and she speaks fluent English. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and we often sat in the lovely, sunny coutyard to read or drink green tea - brought to us almost whenever we sat down by Li's father.

For anyone who's keen to get away from the tour groups and the impersonal service of hotels this is guaranteed make your trip to Li Jiang!

Telephone number: 0888 518 0520 or 0888 666 10 73

Address: Wuyi Road in the old town of Lijiang.

I'll try to attach a photo of the view from our bedroom window.
