A movie must spark at least one emotion. That's all i ask. That comes from good camerawork and effects, believable acting and of course a strong plot.

Really, excellent or good movies can give people a kind of precious spiritual enjoyment. Althogh many Chinese movies are worthwhile watching, I have to admit that some Hollywood movies are indeed splendid. There are two Hollywood moives touch me most till now, one is Brave Heart; the other is Legend of Fall. When enjoying them, I really learn something that I cannot get from the books.

Brave Heart is pretty good ,I was shocked by the spirit to pursuit FREEDOM , and Forest Gump also give me a deep impression.
For Chinese movies ,there are some not bad ,but unfortunately I cannot remember their names right now :(

Oh, In Venice Ang Lee won a prize for his movie about gay couple of cowboys in the US - no joke;-)

To all the Chinese members, what are your favourite Chinese movies?
