It was interesting to read, expecially about green tea (because I try to drink it last time for to understand the Chinese Soul :-).
But majority of Russians and Ukrainians prefer black tea. For example, here is a receipt of Comrade I.V.Stalin's tea:
a cup of black tea + a juice of 1/2 of lemon + 2 teaspoons of cognac + 2 teaspoons of sugar.
Not bad!
Question: what type of green tea is the most popular in China? (I mean not any exotic tea, but such type that majority of common Chinese drink every day)

Well, I can't name any specific kind of green tea that is popular throughout the whole country, usually there are a few places produce famous teas - Hangzhou, Huangshan, Wuyuan, Laoshan, and a few southern provinces. Every kind is special and it depends on personal habits.
AND I can't imagine putting lemon, cognac, sugar in green tea, etc:))

Rita, please, don't add cognac and lemon in green tea: only black tea needs such ingredients.
Well, I understood the situation with Chinese teas. In such case don't you know what was the favorite kind of tea for Mao Zedond and Zhou Enlai?

Forgive me for the neglect, I don't drink black tea, so I am not sure if it's good to put all those things inside:)

The records show that both Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou's favorite tea is Longjing:)
