I'm currently in the Philippines right now getting ready to take my 27 year old Filipina girlfriend to Shenzhen. I will first bring her to Hong Kong on Feb 26 until March 1 in Hong Kong, then possibly 14 days in Shekou at my place. During her stay with me in Shekou, I plan to help her look for possible employment. Her English is very good and proficient as she studied at a college, plus she is great with little kids. Hello! I am so happy to find that there are many Filipinos in Shenzhen. I am seriously considering finding employment there as an English teacher. I am now working on my TESOL certificate. I am wondering what the best route is to finding a job there. Would it be by sending my application to schools there while I'm still here, or would it be better to go there on a tourist Visa and do the job hunting in person? What are the chances that a Filipino like me can get a good job there as a teacher. I do have an American Accent.

I suggest that he apply for the visa in the Pilippines before he goes if he doesn't want to ruin his trip.

Do you want a five-star hotel? You may stay at the Crowne Plaza Shenzhen (a five-star hotel). It costs $234 to $261 USD per night. The other choice is Lijing Commercial Hotel, a three-star hotel. It costs $54 to $66 USD. These two hotels are located at Overseas China Town, not far from WOW.
