Ni Hao!

Recently I browsed a site that boasts of providing homestay to foreigners. What is unbelievable is the rate - a ONE TIME fee of US $ 200 for 6 months !!!! and US#300 for 6 months to one year !!

Have anyone availed of this service ? Please comment.

If the web boast of a deal like that it is probably all hot air.

I've been searching for the cheapest way to homestay in Kunming. I've looked at Goeduchina.com and Insight.China.cn Does anyone know if chinahomestay.org is legitimate? I'm planning to go around April,2006... I really need to find this info ASAP... Please share your experience with us.

i was took a homestay program in Shanghai last year, it arranged by a shanghai company, quite reliable, and i also wrote a feedback for them, you may check their site for more info: http://www.tophomestay.org, wish it helps.

Chinahomestay.org is legitimate. I used them when I was studying Chinese in Beijing and so did several of my classmates. They are run by westerners so they are more reliable than the other organizations.
