Oh, China have great mountains, beautiful lakes, cultural relics and ....the Great Wall.

Well, kids and teenagers are not interested in these places. Where are the Disneylands and the Lotteworlds? No large entertainment complexes?

So you can see that most if not all the vistors to China usually leave the kids behind.

So now, where can a family visiting China bring their young kids to?

Why do u think kids will not like beautiful scenery and wonders? The Great Wall, Mt. Huangshan, Jiuzhaigou are wonderful places for both kids and adults. Besides, kids can also go to seaside, such as Hainan, Qingdao to enjoy the sunshine and sea.

But seriously, if you look around, the foreign tour group never include kids.

The places you mentioned are more appreciative by adults than by kids.

I am sure there are smaller entertainment centres in China. But where are they? Chinese websites never have these kind of information.

I know there is a Song Dynasty Village in Hangzhou which is suitable for family entertainment. Where else?

But seriously, most of the tourist to China fall into four main categories

Retired folk with grown up children and grand kids

Young adults (some backpackers)with no children yet

Older single people who have a career, love to travel and perhaps can leave their teenage children at home if they have any

And those really adventurous travellers who take their children all over the world

Sure it's a little hard on kids sometimes but you'll find that most of them who have the experience at an age they can remember, love it.

If you talk to children who are here with working and business parents they seem to be having the experience of a lifetime. I know a few myself and don't seem to be too many complaints now that they can get Macca's, KFC and Pizza Hut just about everywhere.

(Just kidding)

Bring your kids, it's just the sort of thing they would enjoy since it is so different from anything they've ever experienced.

Another Disney Land will open in Shanghai soon. It spreads like a disease.

But there are other amusementparks. Someone mentioned the Tang Paradise in Xian?

You got it spot-on. Those are the various categories of visitors to China.

China cannot offer good family entertainment for the young families.

Most countries have no choice but to build large entertainment centres for the family. Only then will China be able to attract the young family visitors.

It is a bonus for young families to be able to travel together.
