| Well personally I don't think that that is good enough if you're an engineer, what about acommodations and transport & meals? Well I'm in shipbuilding, as an average inspector get around 40-60,000 RMB a month plus acommodations , meals & transport phones and all other bills. I'm in Yantai where standards of living & expenses are low, don't know about Tianjin or Xiamen. You should talk to them about the benefits & not only the salary. Cheers. |

| by comparison, foreign teachers are paid from about 4000 to 8000rmb per month, plus accom abd airfares. I would be VERY happy to accept your pay. The amount you have been offered equates to say Aus $ 7500 a month, or $90,000 a year.... not a bad rate of pay. You should spend much less in China unless you want to buy all foreign things that sell at a premium here, so you will have no problem supporting your family. The tax rate seems to be 15% on amounts in excess 4,800 pm, but you need to consider whether you will declare your income to your home country and pay the extra tax it might demand. |
