First, no Rita, I do not speak, read, or write, Chinese !!! I ‘CHEAT’ !!! :) :) I have an inexpensive little translation machine for English to Simp-Chinese, which works for a few words at a time only !! I wish I could speak and read and write Chinese, very much though !! I assume 'Rita', what you wrote to me in Chinese is what we say in the west, “You are what you eat” ??? My translation machine gives me the following: 您是什么您吃. I will, however, trust you more than my machine !!!

Next, yes, 'California', I believe that Spanish is now the second most predominate language in the USA, after English. I know it is true in my State, CA. However, as far as the very “first’ language, that is subject to some debate now? In that regard, I am really surprised at you 'California' !!! HA HA HA !!! :) :) Are you not aware that it was ‘Chinese’ explorers who first discovered the America’s ??? Not that Italian man, Columbus, nor the Spaniards, nor the British !! So maybe it was CHINESE, which was the first language spoken here in the North American Continent ?? I kind of like that thesis !! It makes me feel even more ‘connected’ to China !!!

Last, nice try 'Wocca', Ha-Ha !! :) :) Thanks but no thanks, it is a stretch for me to be able to spend even the time, a little here and a little there, that I do each day on this site. Moreover, both 'Christine' and 'Siva' are doing such a fine job of Moderating, maybe they can take Spanish lessons in their ’spare’ time, and then cover/Moderate all the bases ??? Or, maybe 'Conny', with all of her energy gained from jogging around the Xi’an Wall, each day, as well as her great intelligence, would enable her to study Spanish and fulfill this task !!?? :) :)

You are all, so much fun !!! :) :)

Yes, you are right, Rogerinca, mine was a little and simple test which i thought could easily find out if you can really speak, read or write Chinese except "滑稽,滑稽" . It did.

Trying to make the forum interesting itself IS interesting, well, to tell the truth, I am here to learn, and perhaps from time to time, provide some information that people may really need. My only advantage is that I was born and live in China.

Your spanish forum thing is sort of 滑稽,thank you for the amusement.

Regards,

I don't think I am 'Diplomatic' as you thought, Wocca, if I was, I should avoid some delicate topics as many others do.

Anyway, I take both of your(Roger & Wocca) comments about me as 'compliments', so I guess I owe you both a "Thank you" respectively. :-)

QUOTE from Roger: HA HA HA~ (I am impressed!)

Have a nice day!

Hi Champy,

May has a right to be frustrated. I have been to China 2 times and I felt safe during my visit, even more than I do sometimes in my own country in America. I have been to Hangzhou and Jin Hua by train with my wife who is from Shanghai and I had no problem. If you follow the local custums and do not break any laws, it is safe. It is a good way to see the countryside. In the big cities, you should watch out for the traffic and be careful of pick pockets. You should have a good time.
