Quote: "however, I find our Indian employees more difficult to work with than our Chinese employees."

Why? Is it because they take each other as rival?

"English speakers are also an issue. More Indians speak English at an expert level than Chinese".

Griz, you are right. Since India was once occupied by British people, they of course speak English better than Chinese. However, I find it hard to understand their English. Once I listened to a speech made by an India. To be honest, I couldn't understood what he said. And one of my college classmate now is in India. He has the same feeling with me.

"what hapen after the war"

Guest, personally I think that the economic war just starts. When will it end? I don't know but it will last for long. I don't want to see anyone lose in the war. They should cooperate with each other. In this way, both can benefit.

GUEST42116 It is true that most Chinese don't speak English at all. However it gives us some hope that one day in the future, the whole world will be learning Chinese. Remember the story of French?
After all the population of China is larger than N America and Europe combined. Asian people especially Koreans and Vietnamese are working hard learning Chinese too.

Few people will bother to learn Hindi.

Afther specific stage whether Chinas people accept over control on them or burst against to goverment like Russia does.

GUEST53177 am not sure if this thread is still alive, but here is my 2 cents on this debate. am from India, and i feel India is nowhere near China and the differences in attainments is not merely because the Chinese started the thing a decade earlier, but due to the very nature of Indians. Indians are smart, but a very small section of Indians. India will still be bogged down for decades to come with problems of caste, religion, stupid and dangerous politicians and lack of universal education. Indians have problems that cannot be sorted out in the medium term. In the long term Indians can make some progress, but that shall be significantly less than what the Chinese would have achieved by that time. In terms of influence, India cannot make it to the UN permanent seat even in the next 60-70 years. Its only when India has achieved more Human development of its people and less of economic disparity amongst its population, then only can it claim to have arrived.

GUEST50242 I am Chinese and an under-deserved Anglophile as well. To us Chinese, India is already the world's No.1 Superpower, transending the best traditions of the British Empire every day. No dispute here, and much admired. In PPP terms, India is already the world's No.1 economy, not even the US comes close. India has a super high-tech economy with InfoSys, Wipro, Nano, and much more that the average Chinese never even heard about, in whose unfit minds, they only know about BYD, Hauwei, ZTE, and Lenovo. Never mind, how limited horizons. With the exemplary services of Gandhi, Nehru, and Singh super human politicians, India has a huge population dividend, and as time grows the advantage will become much more pronounced, just imagine millions more Singhs. With her close to 1.1 Billion Software Engineers, they are making this profession obselete. In the next 100 years, India with her super effective democracy will prevail; as we Chinese just pray that India will also have mercy to leave a bit of room for us Chinese to earn a modest living in our corner of the planet. India just needs to sleep walk through the next 30 years, or better yet with their superior intellectual powers there are more important topics to discuss like whether the black cats are superior to white cats, or white to black, or what the hell, maybe even both, whereas us poor Chinese will have to continue to slave under the Sun, rain, and snow just to keep us fed and our kids in school. Oh, I take it back, I would rather not to eat, than take my kids out of school. With the current economic crisis, my salary here in Beijing is shrinking by 8% each year, together with the overall economy, all that necessity is becoming harder day-by-day. In 30 years, I suspect my salary would march on to zero, but then I would also be dead and need not to care. Oh, by the way whatever you hear from our government and the foreign press, if it is good news, just ignore it, it is not quite right, shall we just say. Cheers to India!
