They wanna be part of those shining stars. They think that flash bulbs, flowers, applause, honor, money, grand cars and house are signs of success. I think that those young guys are a little bit idolatrous. They don't get the real meaning of being a star and also they haven't realised the difficulties and great pressure of being a glistening star. :)

A star generally refers to one that is a celebrity and idolised - not necessarily because of his/her acting/singing skills. Basically anyone can be a "star" - if u have sufficient support. Andy Lau is a star. Jacky Cheung is a singer.
