Will early to mid June be too hot and humid to tour to the above destinations (comfortably!!)? If so, would love any suggestions to other China destinations, excluding Huangshan, Yunnan, Dali, Lichiang and Shangrila as we have been there before!!

To reply to your question on the temperature in June. The average temperature in Beijing in June is 30 to 32 degrees C for a high and 17 to 19 degrees C for the low. In Xian the average high is around 31 to 33 degrees C, and the average low is 18 to 20 degrees C. You can also go to the China guide and check the city guide and find out what the average climate is for a certain city. Check it out. I hope this helped you.

Take care,
inmedic

It is hot almost throughout China in June. But I think it's a good idea to take a Yangtze River Cruise in June. It will make you feel rather cool.

Beijing and Xian will be hot and dry, Yangtze River and Hangzhou will also be hot, Guilin is hot & humid!

It is hot season for almost the entire China, but I think it's ok for traveling. A lot of places like hotels, cruise ships and cars or buses are air conditioned.

Yes it is hot all over China in June July and August but June is usually not as bad as July and August. The mountainous west of Sichuan including Jiuzhaigou is a good option and it will not be so busy as it not yet peak season. There is lots to see in Sichuan and why not Tibet.
