Is it true that Hainan called Hawaii of China?

THAKUR Points: Join Date: Mar 22, 2006 Status: offline	Is it true that Hainan called Hawaii of China? If it is true. Why people called Hawaii to Hainan. What are the reasons behind it? Does somebody tell me here? Could you post photo of Hainan or good website of Hainan?

Hainan is called the Hawaii of China because of position (near to the tropics) - warm climate - and beautiful water and beaches. It probably has the most beautiful beaches/waters in China.
Go into the TCG website on Hainan - or some of the members' travel photos here.
To be fair, I don't think Hainan can compare to Hawaii. Just like Venice cannot compare to Suzhou. The difference - packaging. But China needs to put more effort into beautifying these places before they can compete with Hawaii or Venice.

CALIFORNIA Points: Join Date: Jul 22, 2005 Status: Offline	Hi,Thakur, Maybe!In China,some cities have this calling.For example Harbin---Eastern Moscow,Suzhou---Eastern Vinice...... I think Sanya was called Hawaii because of the beach & weather.

(2) Resorts, Exclusive restaurants, Night Bars, Strip Bars, Dance Clubs, Five star hotels?

(3) Sight Seen View Areas?

(4) Casinos?

(5) Boating, Cruise ship traveling, water Surfing?

(6) Wild Life Safari?

(7) Golf resort, Horse riding?

(8) Private dancing or Professional Prostitution?

(9) Night Life?

(10) Hills, Jungle, Mountains?

(11) Gold mine, Oil, Diamond, Pearl business?
