Louisa, How can we contact you when we arrive in
Guiyang. We are arriving on the 10th of April in
Guiyang and then want to go directly to the
festival happenings. We would so much like your
help with language etc. and , of course, we can
help you with your language. I have taught
English to many. Looking forward to hearing from
you. Sally Fitch Washington State

Hi California, Yes, she is Miao and very passionate about her people and their culture.

Sally,
Weather should be pleasant, often rains and could be bitterly cold so do take something warm with you for the evenings especially.

If you have a mobile phone, it would be a good idea to get an all China Sim card (130- 139 number series) and then you can contact Louisa by text message or phone call. That's what I did. In the mean time email her and give her your details she can then give you her mobile phone number if you choose to get the sim (easy to buy one, someone may confirm this for me).

You can get the train or bus from Guiyang to Kaili. You may want to stay in a hotel there and make day trips to Taijiang and Shidong which is a little beyong Taijiang.

You can probable hire a taxi for the day to get you around and back to town later in the evenings but Louisa will have some advice on where to stay if you want to be closer to the action.

Enjoy it. I wish I was going but I'll have to wait another year or so.
