| Mmmmmmm!!!! Thankkkkss a lot for that heavenly list! I love street food for breakfast, so I've already tasted some of those: youtiao, dan bing, and so on...I'm getting hungry again! I have already a huge list, now I just hope to have enough time to try everything! :D Rita...I'll start tomorrow with your yanzhou chao fan and the su chao you mai cai!!! Thanks for that ;) |

| i know you have a bunch of suggestions already, but i don't think i saw some of my favorites listed. it's been almost a year since i was there, so i hope my pinyin's still ok... tieba niurou- beef served sizzling in an iron skillit. say the name fast enough and they should know what you mean. chao you cai- but i'm sure you've had that before. ge(1)da(2)tang(1)- soup with dough balls i think. (any fruit name) bing- desert fruit pancake things. again, you've probably already had them. pai(4)huang(2)gua(1)- cold vinegar cucumber xian(1)liu(4)ji(1)piar(4)- tomato, chicken, and cucumber not served in orange grease (at least at my local places) tai(1)wan(4)san(1)si(4)- spicy fried potato slivers. way good. and did anyone say xihongshi chao jidan? cause that's that's the stereotypical foreigner's favorite chinese food, no? well, not counting niurou dui tudou. |
