bai shu, Mmm....

CALIFORNIA, you know, hongshu has the red husk but yellow flesh, doesn't it?
baishu has a white coat and is also white inside.

~we can say in Chinese:
hongshu = hong di gua
baishu = bai di gua

~~~we love raw baishu~ sweeter and succulent
but kao hongshu is delicious

I heard that raw Hongshu/baishu is the No. 1 anti-tumer food:-), it's very good to health. (funny thing, cooked Hongshu/baishu is the second anti-tumer food)

"sweet potato" in English covers Hongshu(红薯), Baishu (白薯) and Ganshu (甘薯), how barren English language is!! Just kidding.
