I'm going to be moving to Shenzhen this summer for a long term job. Can anyone tell me what the area is like?

A mordern, fast paced, young city, neighbor to HongKong. Almost all the people there are from other places, a little impassive frankly.:)
The baking hot summer is from May-Oct. The best season there is March and Nov in my opinion. Oh, the security situation there is not very well. Be careful always.
