GUEST03204 In short, "Backpacking" in China is difficault, and very time consuming! Once a post described it as, ""Backpacking around China seems not be the most efficient past-time one can have. There looks to be a bit of a rule of thumb formulating - 1 day to get somewhere, 1 day to work out where you are and all the vitals, 1 day to see stuff, and 1 day to work out how to leave."

GUEST51130 I am planning to go 31/July to 23/August. Economy/Budget travel.

If these days coincide with you- I'd love to have a travel companion.

I'm vegan (though semi-flexible when traveling), nondrinker, nonsmoker.

£ 10 is enough for food and water unless you dine in five-star hotel

GUESTGUESTNAZ Hi Guys

I'm planning to do a trip around china for a couple of months starting mid November. I am one of those go with the flow people. I just want to get there with my backpack, and then figure out how I want to do what. I will have a basic idea of where I want to go but will leave the details. The problem is that the visa requirments look like I need to given the specific details. I dont know any one in China and I dont want to have everything booked. How difficult will it be to get the visa.

Thanks
