 | have you seen the picture below? he was a @@@@, but there is no such careers now. there was a knife in his left hand and a stick in his right hand. why was he keeping these tools? to protect himself? Compared with those shabby dressed people in ancient China,he is gorgeously dreesed, isn't he. now, i would like you to guess what was his career. correct answer, this time tomorrow  |

| Maybe he was an Emperor's rat catcher, hence he is well dresssed. As there are no more Emperors, there are no more emperor's rat catchers (unfortunately there are still a few too many rats, though!) He uses the stick to hit them on the head, or if they are running away he chops off their tails so they will be easier to catch next time. The ones he catches he puts in the barrel he is carrying. According to some friends, (tho I have to be careful what I say as I am now in Guandong, if they were Guandong rats they would surely be served for dinner ! Am I right or do I have to reread Chinese history?? |

| hi TOAD, I really appreciate your imagination. your story is amazing. have you ever catch a rat by yourself? if this person can catch rats by using these tools, i believe he was NO 1 rat catcher in China. i am wondering how rats taste. i have never tried some and will never do. the cantonese seem to be able to make anything available into delicious foods. unbelievable! i f you have the chance to taste a rat dish, do not forget to share your feelings with us. have a good time in Guangzhou. |
