Hi Everyone Due to the fact that Regal Cruises, from this week, have to go from Maoping rather than Wuhan,we will have a few hours to spend in Yichang. We are already visiting the Dam project as part of the cruise. What else would you suggest we do and see in Yichang and is there any super restaurants you could recommend Many Thanks Clive

You can go to "Chexi" park which is not far from downtown. There're some great performance and presentation that can help you to know something about Tujia ethnic minority there.

If you don'thave too much time and jsut want to soak up some of the local life style, why not promonade along the river bank. there is s lovely park and you'll get to see how many people actually swim in the river or perhaps swim across the river too There's a rather quaint teahouse in the park in a building that was or just looks like a temple. Enjoy your visit. There is some open air dining down by the river too.
