 | It might be a silly question , but I really need your help to know how to make an international call -_-! For u who live overseas , if you want to call your friend in China , what's your processe to make a call ? or pick up the phone ,dial directly 00+86+country code+phone number ? If you are an expat ,how to call your friends in overseas ? Thank u all in advance ! |

| When I call overseas in SG, we just dial a prefix (001 or 018, etc) followed by the country code(86 for China), followed by the city code (1 for BJ) and lastly the phone no. If we call on a mobile in China, we do the same 001-86-no...... , without city code. When in China, I dial 001-country code, city code & no. Try calling me to test. Hahaha !! |

| Hi Conny Yes. from the UK we just dial 00+86+province code+number don't forget that you must drop the 0 from the province code eg: 0414 6475869 dial: 00 86 414 6475869 (In the UK there are many different phone service providers so you can dial a special code before the whole number that will switch your call to a certain company. This can make the call cheaper.) Hope it makes sense :) |

| If you are using your mobile and want to call directly, just press the +sign then country code, area or province code dropping of the 0 followed by the phone number. |

| If your frie3nd wants to call you from Australia (I guess that's what your meant), he will have to dial 0011 44 7999942843. If he is going to phone very often he shpuld either buy a phone card for $10, or use either Skype or Yahoo to make the phone call from his computer, if he has one. They are cheaper but you have to pay a bit more up front (minimum 10 Euro in Skype, or US$10 in Yahoo) and sometimes the quality is not so good. |

| MTFIELD, there are mainly two cellphone operators in China which are China Mobile and China Unicom. First, you should know who offer service to your friend. Then ask him/her to consult his/her operator on how to send text message and how much is the charge. As I know, your friend needn't pay any fee to receive your text message. But the problem is that the signal is not good so that it is hard for your friend to receive your message. China Mobile charges 1 yuan per message while China Unicom 0.8 yuan if you want to send messages to the cellphone out of China. You should also consult your operator if it offers you the service to send text message to the cellphones in other country and how you can send text message. |
