This happened yesterday - the first day of spring.

A doe, that I'm certain I have been feeding since she was just a fawn, rang the locomotive bell in the bell tower in my yard. I thought some one was at the front door, but there she was standing by the bell. I guess she was chewing on the ringer rope.

So what did I do? Without thinking I gave her a little corn.

I can hardly wait for the bell to ring at 0200 when I am asleep! I sure hope she doesn't teach her twin fawns to ring the bell too.

True story!
