Lots of that, like slang in Norteast of China, we speak slang everyday. Some examples. dirty脏的--埋了八汰(sound like mai le ba tai) astonished呆了--蒙了(sounds like meng le)

开门见山地说:. . . kai men jian shan de shuo. It means "to be frank . . . . "

不好意思 .bu hao yi si. Means that you are embarresed about something, but is used as a common way to say sorry. For example i stand on someones foot in a que or i must squeeze past someone to do something you say bu hao yi si.
