Hi May,

Shanghai is a beautiful & charming city.

For that time I was not aware of the difference of temperature between GZ and SH.You know,it was around 30 degree in GZ,while when I arrived at the airport and found that in SH it was near 10 degree. My god.I was freezing and hurried to buy a coat nearby ASAP.

That was why I missed home.Later on,every time when I need to go elsewhere far away,I keep in mind that it is necessary to check the weather.

Yes, must see the destination weather. Now a day we follow internet forecast.

Interesting news, our capital city whether, climate, temperature---- almost same as Shenzhen.
That is also a why we like Shenzhen.

Liz, What about the train journey from GZ to SH?

Have you ever heard of the Chinese film A World without Thief? It is all about theft in train.

I am aftaid that I would not like to go to SH by train, since several friends have impressive and horrible stories on their journey by train. It is said that it is absolutely like a battle when people try to find their seats...

I have never experienced any trip by train so far.
Anyway,plane is preferable if possible.

The things are not that bad as you think, lionpower. Train, mixed with all kinds of travelers, may lurk some unsafety. But the sleepers of trains are relatively safer and comfortable, and if you are careful and watchful enough, you can enjoy a more pleasant journey for the beautiful scenery along the way.

I have had no troubles on trains, even at the hard seat carriage. Be careful is the upmost things for a traveller wherever you go.

Absolutely right, May. I've had some pretty rough hard seat experiences (12 hours overnight hard stand from Changsha to Guilin- and I didn't have a ticket to Guilin, only to somewhere in southern Hunan, had to upgrade my ticket on the train and sprint from my original carriage to one up ahead that was going all the way- that was rough, I tell you) but I have never felt in any kind of danger
