GUEST33109 I know there are many Chinese dialects and i'm curious as to which dialect is the hardest, and which is easiest. I know mandarin is used very widely, and am curious to know which other dialects are used heavily.

well, Chinese 's got a very complicated system. especially when speaking and reading can be quite different. Be honest with you guys, why don't you find a online chinese friend and exchange the Skype id, so u can chat online, that might be much better than just writing pinyin here or Chines characters here. and as far as i know, although it's a bit diffult for foreigners to learn reading and writing properly within a short period, to learn how to speak properly can be a bit easier, especially for those who just want to spend a holiday in China.
