How have Chinese people combined traditional Chinese thinking (about destiny and fate and God) with the communist ideas of atheism and Marxism that they were taught in schools? What is your perception? I like the traditional idea of yuan fen. That it has taken at least 1000 years for us to meet our family members and closest friends. That it has taken 100 years maybe to meet our pets and lesser friends. At first it sounds like romantic fluff, but upon further thought I believe this idea is true.

But the way to the destination is depends on you. I like this theory. ^_^ Marxism is not just atheism. I believe it is a theory teaching person to be scientism and skeptic. Don't believe what other's said until you can confirm it.

I 'm a typical atheist and I don't believe in fate. Those who believe in God, Buddha, or any other gods, please do not think atheistic people like me as impious guys.

A coin has two sides. Some peple believe in God, and then there must be some others do not believe in God.We just don't believe in what you believe. Ourselves? Science? Or some others? Many possibilities.

I think if I try my best, my life will be the pattern that I want it be.

But are fate and a belief in a god necessarily mutually exclusive (in simpler English, maybe you can be an atheist and believe in fate too)
