![]() | How to use our F-10 fighters? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- As everyone knows, the F-10 has equipped Chinese Air Force. However, due to the reasons of confidentiality, we have not yet learned their combat effectiveness. Let me show some opinion of my own. As a fighter, combat effectiveness of the performance is a key indicator to measure what’s a fighter like. Generally, how to assess a fighter? We often use “grappling at short ranges” and “Surpass apparent distance air battle” to test a fighter’s battle ability. ![]() |

![]() | 1、grappling at short ranges Ignore the pilot's individual ability, a fighter close-fighting capability will depend mainly on the following points: the maneuverability and agility, state-sensor, fire control and airborne weapons. F-10 theoretically should get the typical characteristics of the third-generation fighter’s maneuverability, agility and its quality should be good. F-10 owns relatively slender body and duck layout, which is conducive to body size distribution. All of these indicate that F-10 was also optimized for high-speed flight. Compared with the typical third-generation fighters, such as the F-15, F-16, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage 2000, the F/A-18, F-10 may be closer to some of the performance characteristics of a single light fighter. Compared to the Su-27 and F-15 fighters other heavy fighters, generally light ones’thrust-weight ratio and continuation of flight ability would be in inferior position. With the classical air-battle theory, the F-10 in combat fighting will not be in a dominant position in the facet of remaining energy and long time minitance (This point is not very important, because modern air-battle rhythm is very quick, which is usually about five minutes.) ![]() |

![]() | Now time to show my stratagem: Considering the remarkable agility and performance quality, F-10 prefer to take angle tactics, which means F-10 should occupy preemptive opportunity, face the enemy as soon as possible, then launch the offensive missile. It is hard to defeat the enemy through a series of complicated actions like rolling etc. to take the initial and position. ![]() |
