In China, nightlife in every city seems quite similar. KTV, bars, feet sauna, coffee language and tea houses may be the most common places. What do you westerners prefer to do for your nightlife? What kind of nightlife do you expect to experience in China? Thanks : )

That doesn't sound like the city I lived in, Shijiazhuang in Hebei. There are so few bars and teahouses. A few upmarket ones yes, but few places to go for a quiet beer (without nightclub music and prices) or tea with friends. I am sure these will come in time.

Thanks for your reply, Paul! Seems you like to drink beer or tea with your friends, right? : ) Have you been to other cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen......? Maybe you can find more colorful nightlife in those big cities.

I am not a drinker, so nightclubs do not appeal to me. I do love nice restaurants and also the Tea House culture such as the Sichuan style. Also, of course, we might go to spend the evening at a shopping mall, or go to see a movie or some live music entertainment, all of which I really enjoy. No matter what I do, as long as I am close to Lao po, I am very happy !!

Hey Rogerinca, You are very satisfied with your present life, right? I can strongly feel that. Nightlife is far away from me. I seldom go to KTVs, bars or something like that. Maybe my life is a little boring. :P

Evening, I an mot seeking a more adventurous nightlife, I didnt even in my younger years. All I look for is somewhere to sit and relax with friends after we have shared a meal together. A quiet bar or teahouse preferably with some Chinese character or style to it. In Shijiazhuang we chose KFC.... enough said!!!

Hi Paul, Actually I have the similar habit with you! I would rather stay at home to watch my favorite TV programs, read my favorite novels or other books and listend to some soft music. I just want a total relaxation and free time! cheers! : )
