I have heard before that it is difficult to get a visa from Pakistan. I can only answer what is a normal procedure, but if China has extra rules for Pakistanis, it might not be so simple. If you are an employee of a Chinese business youshould apply for a Z vis. To get this you will need appropriate documentation from your employer. Some people work on an F cisa though it is not strictly permitted, but again you will need supporting paperwork from the employer. Alternatively you get a tourist visa and when you are here TRY to get a Z or an F visa, though that might need a trip across to Hong Kong (no problem if you are in Szhenzhen) and it will still need the paperwork. If you work on a tourist visa and are caught you risk being fined and deported (and on an F visa ifthe rules are enforced). I suggest you contact your employer and ask which visa they want you to apply for and please will they send the appropriate documentation.

You do not have to stay for any period of time... you can walk out and back in again. You shouldn't have any problems with the restrictions as you are using an existing visa.

GUEST25421 | is foreign expert certificate the same with alien employment certificate? |

Foreign and alien are synonyms. I have never heard the word 'alien' use in the Chinese context.

Apault - you are lucky - I am called an alien on a daily basis! I must come from Mars.

Yes Baron, I had heard rumours! Alternative response: I had assumed you were from Mars and not Venus!
