The Latins are starting to follow them and later the Kipchak-Bulgarian army is locking them, like a circle and killing them. This is a classical hun-turkic tactics. It was used by Turkut general, who helped Chinese in a battle in Korea against the Koreans.

THE TURKUT (TU JUE) GENERAL ASHINA SHENI used that tactics took in aa trap Korean-Manchurian army and then Chinese won. 2 500 Korean leaders were taken in China, 30 000 Korean soldiers were sent back to their homes and 3 000 manchurians were killed.
