Which is better? Msn or QQ?

When you chat with your friends, which kind of chatting tool would you like to use?

Maybe Msn is more common in foreign countries, but i think QQ is more popular in China, isn't it?

Yes, exactly, I think QQ is more popular in China, but in most western countries, MSN is used more. In some countries, QQ is not available in Chinese version or without technical support.

Another difference is that MSN is suitable for use in the office time, while QQ is designed with more recreational functions.

Many people are using ICQ and Skype, too. There is also Yahoo Messenger. Which is better? I don't know.

Skype by now as 200 million users ..Also google talk has close to 150 million users ..soon both of them will take over msn ..Yahoo and MSN ..both have lots of issues ,..Googletalk is simple and clean .Skype is little complicated but good ..

Unfortunately QQ is really only available in Chinese, there is an old version partly in English. To me it is very old fashioned (as is ICQ). My chat platform of choice is Skype, partly because you can make pc to phone calls at very low rates. Yahoo comes second for me.

Yes, QQ is only popular in China. Too popular! Most Chinese people will choose QQ as their first choice for chat, as most people have a QQ number. Seems that MSN is more popular in business. People choose it for business purpose while QQ is for entertainment and contact with friends.

Spend more time the ol' fashioned way....face to face.
If not, experiment with all of the above and see which one meshes best with you and your friend's equipment and preferences.
