Thanks Christine!!

Let's go on, guys.
After introducing your name, you may need to introduce your job. Of course, not every Chinese will ask you about your job. But we will be happy if you do so.
:D

We have already learnt 我. In Chinese, 我 stands for I and Me and 我的 means My. So we can say 我是学生(Wo 3 Shi 4 Xue 2 Sheng 1) = I'm a student, or 我的工作是教师(Wo 3 De 1 Gong 1 Zuo 4 Shi 4 Jiao 4 Shi 1) = My job is to teach/I work as a teacher.

我是学生(Wo 3 Shi 4 Xue 2 Sheng 1) = I'm a student:

学生 means Student. No matter you are a student in high school or university, you can say you are a 学生. But we have some other words can be used before 学生.

e.g.: 小学生(Xiao 3 Xue 2 Sheng 1), which means Pupil. 中学生(Zhong 1 Xue 2 Sheng 1) which means the students of Middle School and High School. 大学生(Da 4 Xue 2 Sheng 1) means college/university students.

我的工作是教师(Wo 3 De 1 Gong 1 Zuo 4 Shi 4 Jiao 4 Shi 1) = My job is to teach/I work as a teacher:

工作 means Job, Employment, Career. 教师 equals to Teacher. We can also say 老师(Lao 3 Shi 1) to address a teacher.

e.g.:
Sam: 你好,我是山姆,我是学生。
May: 你好,我叫梅。我是*你的老师。

*你的(Ni 3 De 1) means Yours.
